Hospitality services provider EIH today announced a profit after tax of Rs 33.27 crore for the quarter ended December 2008, down 54.04 per cent over the corresponding period a year ago.
The company, promoted by Oberoi Hotels, reported a net profit of Rs 72.40 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, EIH said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income decreased to Rs 257.84 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 326.85 crore in the same period in the previous financial year.
For the nine-month period ended December 2008, its profit after tax declined to Rs 102.59 crore from Rs 151.85 crore a year ago.
Total income dropped to Rs 754.55 crore during the nine-month period, from Rs 782.91 crore in the same period in the last financial year.
