The Oberoi Group’s East Indian Hotels (EIH) has posted a 27.1 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 28.3 crore in the third quarter of this financial year ended on December 31, compared to Rs 22.3 crore during the same period in the last financial year.
The hospitality major’s net sales for the period also increased 18.3 per cent to Rs 289 crore, against Rs 222.04 during the third quarter last year.
The total income during the quarter rose by 26.4 per cent to Rs 301.1 crore from Rs 238.1 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement filed at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For the quarter, the employees’ cost stood at Rs 78.4 crore compared to Rs 59.6 crore in the same period in 2009, with a rise of 31.4 per cent.
