Excel Entertainment, Riva Games enter JV to launch Excel Media

JV to develop, launch original content including games, webisodes, animation for television

Ritesh Sidwani and Farhan Akhtar promoted production house Excel Entertainment have joined hands with Dubai based Riva Group of Companies to launch content creation unit Excel Media.
 
The joint venture will develop and launch original content including games, webisodes and animation for television.
 
While Riva Games will provide the technology for the products, the creative and marketing aspexts of the business will be taken care of by Excel.  The production hub is distributed between Los Angeles and Dubai while Excel Media is headquartered at Singapore. The creative team will be predominantly based out of India.

The first game to be launched through this is JV is the Fukrey: Rooftop Runner which is based on this year's summer hit by Excel Entertainment Fukrey.
 
"With Excel media, we are now venturing into the digital market. It is a very exciting time for us, as we look forward to developing webisodes, animation content & games," added Sidhwani.
