Express Group shelves paywall plan for digital content

Anant Goenka, whole-time director, Indian Express Group, said plans of putting their digital content behind a paywall in the future had been shelved.

When the company launched its portal, Goenka had revealed that some time in the future, the content would be put behind a paywall.

However, seeing the consumption habits of the Indian readers, it now seems an impossible step.
