Finisar Corporation to expand Hyderabad operations

Finisar Corporation, a Sunnywale, New York headquartered technology company, today said it was adding a product test platform development line to their existing operations in Hyderabad.

The company specialises in fiber optic subsystems and components that enable high-speed voice, video and data communications for telecom, networking, storage and wireless and cable TV technologies and has 13,000 employees world wide. Finisar India operations are focused on IT development and support.

The company expects to double its head count to 150 at its site located in Cyber Pearl office complex in Hi-tech City over next 12 months period.

"Finisar Executive chairman and CEO Jerry S Rawls announced the formal inauguration of this new site that will facilitate expansion in Hyderabad," the company said in a statement.

Finisar had set up its base in Hyderabad in the year 2009 with 20 people consisting of software application developers among other professionals.
