Flipkart is likely to appoint outgoing Tata Communications finance Chief Sanjay Baweja as its new chief financial officer (CFO), according to sources close to the development.

Last year, Karandeep Singh left the company and since then Kalyan Krishnamurthy has been serving as the interim CFO.

Earlier key rival and marketplace player Snapdeal.com had roped in Bharti Enterprises Pvt. Ltd vice-chairman Akhil Gupta as an independent director.
