Nitin Seth, former Chief Operating Officer at India's largest e-commerce marketplace Flipkart, has taken up the role of Chief Executive Officer at San Francisco-based engineering services company Incedo.

Seth will replace Incedo co-founder Tejinderpal Miglani as the company's CEO who is now being elevated to the position of President. Incedo provides data management, analytics, product engineering and emerging technologies services to customers. Seth will be based out of Gurugram.

"Through our entrepreneurial talent, tech innovation and client service model, we have grown at a rapid pace, and are at a stage where we're looking to what's next," said Miglani, in a statement. "Nitin has tremendous expertise, and the entire team looks forward to working with him to meet Incedo's goals as an industry leader."

Seth's stint at Flipkart lasted a little over a year but ended on a sour note with him serving the e-commerce major a legal notice claiming his ouster was illegal. Being one of the first top executives to be hired under the leadership of Binny Bansal, Seth quickly rose up the ranks at the company.

After Kalyan Krishnamurthy replaced Binny Bansal as the CEO, Seth was again elevated to the position of Chief Operating Officer and was seen as the second in command. However, in the months that followed, Binny was once again seen mentoring the top executives at eKart, a portfolio which Seth had been asked to handle.

Prior to joining Flipkart, Seth had a six year stint with Fidelity as its Managing Director and Country Head for India and had spent nearly 16 year with McKinsey and Company, quitting in the role of Director of Knowledge Centre for India. He's also a long-standing member of Nasscom, India's software product industry lobby.

"Having built and transformed companies many times over, he is ideally suited to take Incedo to the next level of growth. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team," said Saurabh Mittal, Chairman at Incedo.
