The Rs 1,136 crore HCL Infosystems LTD, part of the HCL Group, claims its employees are its core strength and that it leaves no stone unturned to reach out to the nearly 3,400 strong workforce. Among the recent human resource-friendly initiatives undertaken by the company are adoption of the 360 degree appraisal system and a facility for a credit card which has been extended to nearly 400 employees at the Delhi office.

Adoption of 360 degree appraisal is quite a feat as most companies resist the new HR system. The reason that the tool is difficult to adopt is that it is a comprehensive feedback system where the appraisal is taken from juniors, bosses and peers.

As far as the credit cards go, the company guarantee basically enables even those employees to own a credit card who are not eligible for one otherwise. The company also picks up the basic tab of acquiring a credit card.
