HCL Technologies Ltd (HCL), leading global IT services provider, announced appointment of R Srinivasan as an Additional Director on the board of HCL Technologies.
An electrical engineer from Madras University and an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad, Srinivasan is the founder managing director of Redington (India) and current chairman of SSN Institutions joins eight other distinguished members of HCL’s board of directors.
Prior to starting Redington in Singapore, Srinivasan worked in Indonesia with a leading textile company. Srinivasan’s experience also includes long stints at Readers Digest and the Coca-Cola Corporation of India. Currently he sits on the board of Arena (a listed company in Turkey) and Easyaccess Financial Services (a non-banking finance company in India).
“Srinivasan brings in a unique combination of business and philanthropic experience and is widely respected for his visionary leadership. I am confident that his unique insights, experience and knowledge will greatly benefit the company,” said Shiv Nadar, founder of HCL and chairman of HCL Technologies.
Srinivasan’s appointment was effective since April 19, 2011.
