Idea Plans Rs 120 Crore Gujarat Investment

Idea Cellular, which crossed the two lakh subscriber base in Gujarat on Monday, plans to invest Rs 120 crore before the end of this fiscal to cope with rising competition in the cellular market.

Idea will also introduce the latest BSCS billing system, a sophisticated product hired from Germany-based Schlumberger.

Idea plans to open 40 customer care centres across the state with a special emphasis on the market in smaller cities like Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat and Valsad. The centres, called as Idea
