IPE meet on public private partnership

L&T, India Infrastructure Finance, International Finance Corporation, APIIC, HMDA among others to participate

Hyderabad-based Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), in partnership with International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), Slovenia, would organise a two-day international conference on Public Private Partnership-The Need of the Hour from January 23 here.

L&T, India Infrastructure Finance Limited (IIFL), International Finance Corporation (IFC), APIIC, HMDA among others would participate. Key academic participants include IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Bangalore, Center for Development Studies. Overall, IPE expects more than 100 participants for the event, a release stated.

The conference intends to create a platform to discuss the finer points and details of PPP, mainly in the area of infrastructure. It would examine the status of PPP among others. Around 30 research papers would be presented .

ICPE, established with the support from the UN, acts as a research, training and consulting organisation.

Ankur contest on Jan 17: For its annual all India business plan competition- Ankur-2013-14 on January 17, IPE has tied up with Ficci. It would see 15 teams from IIT-H, BITS-H, University of Hyderabad, including three from IPE.

In the 2014-15 academic year, Ankur would see angel investors from across the globe, helping Indian start-ups access IPE as a perfect platform, said RK Mishra, director of IPE, on Wednesday.
