Jaiprakash cement sales up 60% in July

Cement manufacturer Jaiprakash Associates today reported a 60 per cent increase in sales during the month of July to 12.2 lakh tonnes.

The company had sold 7.6 lakh tonnes of cement in July, 2009, Jaiprakash Associates said in a statement.

During the first four months of the fiscal (April-July), the total cumulative sales of the company stood at around 51.2 lakh tonnes, up 61 per cent compared to 31.7 lakh tonnes in the comparable period a year ago.

Jaiprakash Associates is a diversified infrastructure conglomerate with interests in power, cement, hospitality, real estate and expressways.
