JSW Energy Ltd, an independent arm of JSW Group, announced on the BSE that it has successfully commissioned the second unit of the four 300-MW power projects at Jaigad in Ratnagari district of Maharashtra.
It has achieved the Commercial Operation Date (COD) effective from December 30, 2010, totalling the aggregate operating capacity at Ratnagiri to 600 MW. The company is targetting to commission the remaining two in the current fiscal.
According to the release filed with the BSE, Vice Chairman, N K Jain was quoted saying, "We are on schedule to achieve our stated generation capacities.
At noon, the shares were trading 4.30% up at Rs 99.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
