Ahead of the peak winter season later this month in Himachal Pradesh, Kingfisher Airlines has decided to cut down the frequency of flights to the popular tourist destinations of Shimla and Kullu Manali in Himachal Pradesh by half.
Reports said instead of the daily flight to these two hill stations, from Dec 17 the broke Kingfisher airlines will only operate a flight thrice a week instead of daily to Shimla and Kullu.
Shimla and Manali among other closeby destinations of Kasauli, Chail, Kufri, Narkanda, Dharamsala, Dalhousie and other hill stations see a huge rise in tourist arrivals in the last week of December.
People in the hotel and travel business say airline routes are already priced three to four times more than normal, they will now be hit by reduction of flights to the state.
