Appoints Sami Benafia as Director of Sales in West Asia & Aravind Gaddala as Director of Product Management

Chennai-based speech recognition company Uniphore Software Systems, backed by Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and IDG Ventures, today announced the appointment of Sami Benafia, Director of Sales in West Asia and Aravind Gaddala, Director of Product Management in Chennai.

Benafia will manage existing accounts and partners and will be responsible for developing strategic plans to drive engagement for clients and partners in the West Asian Region. Aravind will lead Uniphore's product strategy to drive product and customer success.

He will be responsible for product roadmap for all the product lines, activating the go to market strategy globally while ensuring a product-market fit, said the company.

Benafia, Director of Sales -Middle East, Uniphore Software Systems said, "Uniphore's diverse set of products are the next dimension in understanding and enriching customer experiences. The Middle East region is one of the key geographies for Uniphore with immense growth potential and I look forward to lead our approach in this exciting market."

He has over 19 years of consulting and business management experience in professional services and software applications, with international exposure in technology and operations. He has previously worked at Genesys, SunGard and Thomson Reuters. Sami is an engineering graduate from University of Derby.

Gaddala comes with 15 years of experience in IT products, logistics services and BPO consulting services. He has worked with companies like Genpact, Oracle Corp, Ramco Systems and Miebach Logistics. He is an MBA graduate from T.A.Pai Management Institute and has done his engineering from MIT Manipal.
