LG Electronics Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Korea's electronic major LG Electronics, has recorded a turnover of Rs 1,474 crore during the nine-month period ending September 30.
The company today also reported that it registered cumulative revenues worth Rs 5,000 crore in India in a period of four-and-a-half years, ever since its inception in May 1997. To commemorate the achievement, the company has kicked off a nationwide celebration campaign titled 'LG 5000 crore Achievement Bash'.
Through this new promotional activity, the company hopes to move closer to the Indian consumer and maximize brand pull to generate immediate conversions during the festive period October and November 2001.
During this promotional campaign, the company will give away lucky prizes and assured gifts worth Rs 12 crore to its customers. Pradeep Tognatta, head, sales and marketing, LGEIL, said: "We hope to sell over 2.5 lakh units of products across all categories during this period. "The company has outlined a budget of Rs. 25 crore towards media spends, gifts and prizes for the month-long campaign, which was kicked-off on Monday, barring West Bengal, where the promotion was launched two days earlier due to Durga Puja.
The LG 5000 crore celebration bash is unique in assuring all its customers gifts with every purchase. The company will also be giving over 845 prizes comprising LG products ranging from CTVs, refrigerators, washing machines, ACs, microwaves and vacuum cleaners.
