Mahindra First Choice (MFCSL), a multi-brand car servicing chain of Mahindra & Mahindra group, is planning to set up 80 new service workshops across Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and few cities in Maharashtra by the end of next year before expanding the network to a total number of 350 centres covering other parts of the country.
The Rs 250-crore investment plan, which includes 50 company-owned multi-brand service centres leaving a substantial number of them to be on a franchisee basis, is aimed at capturing an estimated Rs 8,000-crore multi-brand car service market, according to Rajeev Dubey, president and member of the group executive board of Mahindra.
The company’s aggressive expansion plans are coming three years after the launch of First Choice, which currently owns 12 service centres, including three under the franchisee model.
