Maruti recalls 1,492 vehicles for steering check

Company says 306 units of Ertiga, 592 units of Swift, 581 units of Dzire and 13 units of A-Star will be recalled for checking

Maruti Suzuki Wednesday recalled 1,492 vehicles, including Ertiga, Swift, Dzire and A-Star, manufactured between Oct 19-26, for correcting defective steering columns.

According to the company, 306 units of Ertiga, 592 units of Swift, 581 units of Dzire and 13 units of A-Star will be recalled for checking and replacement of the steering column if found defective.

"This exercise is limited to vehicles within the above specified range and does not pertain to any other vehicle of the Company or any of its exports," the company said in a statement.
