MeritTrac, a testing and skills assessment company and which is an investee company of Manipal Education, is now targeting the international market for providing its services. MeritTrac is exploring opportunities in the international markets — covering both the developed and the developing world.
To signal the seriousness of this intent, Madan Padaki, the co-founder, will focus exclusively on building the global business and is transitioning from his operational role as CEO of MeritTrac. While he will continue to be based out of Bangalore, he will focus on the international markets. Taking on the role of the CEO, effective June 1 will be the other co-founder — Murlidhar S, presently the COO.
While it is building up a base in the US and the UK, it is also trying to make inroads into Latin American countries. At the same it is also sure of making it to many an African country.
While the African countries look at China for developing thier infrastructure, they are looking at Indian companies to help them develop soft skills.
