After Kerala, Tata Motors is preparing to open sales for the Nano across the country. Dealers in Kolkata, Asansol, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai claimed a formal announcement could come on Independence Day. Meanwhile, the car is available for test rides.
When asked, a company spokesperson said: “Yes, we are planning to open sales for the Nano across the country soon...We do not want to give any guidance as to what would be the exact date for opening up sales.”
The Nano was put up on sale in Kerala last week, right before Onam festivities kicked in. It is so far the only state where the car is currently on sale.
