Natco Pharma Limited has reported a 11.54 percent increase in net profit at Rs 2.17 billion for the quarter ended December 2017 as compared with Rs 1.95 billion in the corresponding quarter previous year.
However, the revenues declined by 16 percent to Rs 5.74 billion for the quarter under review from Rs 6.85 billion in the year-ago period.
A 32 percent decrease in expenditure at Rs 2.97 billion led by a 50 percent decline in the cost of materials consumed during the quarter helped the company to post profits despite a fall in revenues.
Meanwhile Natco board has declared a second interim dividend of Rs 7 per equity share of a face value of Rs 2 for the year 2017.
