Italian premium leather upholstery player Natuzzi Spa is planning to open two stores in Hyderabad by March end. Natuzzi, which entered the India market in November 2010 with two stores in Delhi and Bangalore, has big plans to emerge as a leading player in the furnishing industry in the country.
“We are planning to open 12 shops across India by 2011 under the franchise route and the investment would be made by them,” said Pasquale Natuzzi, chairman and founder of the Natuzzi group. To open a store, the average cost would be around Euro 5,000.
“South India is a strategic market for us, and we would open stores in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Coimbatore. We are scouting for land. The distribution format mainly will be B2B and B2C,” Natuzzi country manager India Nitin Bahl said.
