New Delhi Television (NDTV) today reported its consolidated net profit at Rs 212 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010.
The company had a net loss of Rs 143 crore in the same quarter ended March 2008-09, NDTV said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"During the quarter NDTV Networks Plc had entered into an agreement with Turner Asia Pacific Ventures, Inc for sale of controlling stake in NDTV Imagine. Consequently, the results does not include the results of the company and its subsidiaries. Therefore, the above consolidated results are not comparable with the respective previous periods," the company said in a filing.
Income from operations stood at Rs 136.65 crore for the quarter ended March 31, while it had an income from operations at Rs 123.30 crore in the same period last year.
For the year ended March 31, the company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 117.65 crore, however it had net profit of Rs 143 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
