New indl-commercial centre for Thrissur

The Kerala Industries department has invited expressions of interest (EoI) from architects for the design, consultancy and supervision of its proposed industrial-cum-commercial centre at Thrissur.

The Directorate of Industries and Commerce proposes to set up a multi-storied industrial cum commercial centre for agro and food products, textiles and fashion centre, knowledge products, entertainment centre, tourism services and jewellers.

The proposed site, to come up on 11.41 acres of land at Puzhakkalpadam within the city limits of Thrissur, is about 60 km away from Cochin international airport.

The location is also adjacent to the Lulu International convention center and Shobha City, a township project being constructed by the Shobha group.

Out of the 11.41 acres of land, two acres has been earmarked for constructing the multi-storied industrial galas with wide internal roads for easy movement of raw materials and finished goods.
