The National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) and the TMI Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote digital capabilities and HR expertise in entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the MoU is to apply respective strengths for reaping benefits in the areas of HR, talent acquisition and digitisation, and pass them on to the MSMEs. The primary outcome of this MoU is to conceive, design and implement initiatives and programmes that improve the quality and productivity of the talent employed with the MSMEs.

“This is the first-ever public-private partnership (PPP) the TMI Group ever entered. Leveraging the strength, infrastructure and expertise available with ni-msme, we aim at connecting the MSME community to the right talent crucial for their growth. We will take our digital and HR services to entrepreneurs that engage with ni-msme,” TMI Group executive chairman, T Muralidharan, stated in a press release on Tuesday.

According to him, the scope of this MoU is to strengthen the pillars of growth, identified by the Union government as digitisation of business processes and operations, creating an environment and infrastructure that help the growth of MSMEs, and leveraging the PPP model to deliver services optimally to society.

“With TMI’s support, we would extend our reach to MSMEs and budding entrepreneurs, who could benefit from the various programmes we offer. Now the voice of ni-msme will reach entrepreneurs through an SME community portal that will be managed and maintained by the TMI Group,” ni-msme director general, M Chandrasekhar Reddy, said.
