Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) today reported its highest ever monthly sales at 5,880 units in March, registering a jump of nearly three-fold.

In the corresponding month of 2011, the company had sold a total of 2,101 units, NMIPL said in a statement.

The company's previous monthly highest stood at 5,371 units in February 2012, it added.
