ONGC up on divestment buzz

The stock of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) continued to trade up a day after company chairman R S Sharma said the government planned to divest 5 per cent in the public sector undertaking this year.

Sharma said the divestment would fetch Rs 13,000 crore for the government at current market price.

Shares of ONGC were trading up 0.12 per cent today on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at Rs 1,237 a piece. The intra-day high was Rs 1,249.90, while the low was Rs 1,229 a share.
