Pipavav Shipyard today said it has appointed M Jitendran as its chief executive officer (CEO).
The appointment is with effect from July 1.
M Jitendran replaces Jai Prakash Rai, who has moved to SKIL Infrastructure as Group Chief Executive Officer, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
SKIL Infra is the original promoter of Pipavav Shipyard and this appointment has been made as a part of the company's strategic corporate restructuring.
Prior to joining as a CEO in Pipavav, M Jitendran worked as the Chairman & Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard for eight years, the filing added. Also, he has a distinguished career with Indian Navy, it said.
