R Sethuraman to retire from Hyundai Motor India

Sanjay K Pillai, vice president, HR&GS also puts in papers effective January 4, 2014

R Sethuraman, director finance, of Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) will retire from the automobile manufacturing firm with the completion of his term ending March 31, 2014.

In a statement issued here, the company said, "R Sethuraman, director finance, has also expressed his desire to retire from the organisation on completion of his term which ends on March 31, 2014."

Sanjay K Pillai, vice president, HR&GS of the company also resigned from the organization effective January 4, 2014, to pursue his academic interests.

Sethuraman who was the senior vice president, finance and Member of the Board of Directors of HMIL, was elevated to the post of director finance in April, this year. As senior vice president, finance he was elevated as a member of the Board of Directors of the passenger car manufacturer in August, 2012. He also held the position of a trustee of HMIL’s corporate social responsibility arm Hyundai Motor India Foundation.

Sethuraman, a chartered accountant, joined HMIL almost 14 years ago.
