RBI clarifies on downstream investment by Indian company

These Indian entities are controlled by Non Resident Indians

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) clarified on that downstream investment by an Indian company which is not owned and controlled by residents into another Indian company would be subject to relevant sectoral norms on entry route, conditionalities and caps applicable to the sector in which latter company (corporate body in which investment is being made) is operates.
