Telecom service provider Reliance Communications (RCom) today announced the launch of first tablet PC for CDMA users, Reliance CDMA Tab, built on Android platform.

"Having redefined the Tab market in the country last year with the launch and roaring success of Reliance 3G Tab, we are now yet again the first to introduce the country's first CDMA Tab," RCom's Group Head for Brand and Marketing Sanjay Behl said in a statement.

Reliance CDMA Tab comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen with Android 2.3 operating system. The tablet supports Mobile TV, voice calling, GPS and video recording features, he added.

RCom is offering postpaid plans offering discounts of up to 40 per cent on the regular rates.

"All the plans will come with default voice tariff plan of 50 paise per minute for all intra and inter circle calls and 50 paise for local and national SMS," the statement said.

It has rear camera and a front camera, 2 megapixel each. Reliance CDMA tab is bundled with monthly and annual data plans, one year free subscription on McAfee Mobile Security, two months free subscription on BigFlix plus for movies on demand and Rs 250 worth of calling on Reliance Global Call.

The tablet has push email facility and is bundled with 'Documents To Go' application that supports Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF formats.
