Reliance Group Ups Stake In L & T

Reliance Industries has raised its stake in Larsen & Toubro from 0.38 per cent to 2.87 per cent as of March 31, 2001, the company disclosed in its 2000-01 annual report.

Along with Reliance Industrial Investments & Holdings (RIIH), which holds another 3.74 per cent, the two Reliance group companies now hold at least 6.61 per cent in L&T, up from 4.67 per cent at the end of the 1999-2000 financial year.
