REpower gets wind turbines contract in Germany

REpower, a subsidiary of wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy today received a contract to deliver turbines for seven wind farms.

"REpower Systems SE has concluded contracts with seven communities in Northern Friesland (Germany) to deliver 47 turbines," the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Northern Friesland is the stronghold of public wind farms in Germany. All seven wind farms have a full maintenance contract for 15 years, and are expected to be constructed at the end of 2012 or in 2013.

Suzlon Energy holds 95% stake in REpower.

Shares of Suzlon Energy were trading at Rs 42, up 1.69% on the BSE.
