Germany-based Suzlon Group company REpower Systems AG today announced that it has signed a contract with German wind farm project developer Denker & Wulf AG, for the delivery of 22 wind turbines to a new project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.

The REpower 3.4M104 turbines, each with a rated output of 3.4 megawatts (MW), are intended for the Hohen Luckow project southwest of Rostock. The 74.8 MW project will be constructed by 2012.

The contract includes a 15-year integrated service package (ISP) which covers project servicing, and maintenance, in addition to delivery and installation of the turbines, the company said in a press statement.

The financial terms of the agreement were not specified.

Since 2001, REpower Systems AG has supplied 960 wind turbines for the German market with a total output of more than 1,620 MW.

From October 1, 2010, fully-owned subsidiary REpower Systems GmbH will bundle sales, project management and service for the core markets of Germany and Austria, the statement said.
