The Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) has said its wheel shop had met the target of 200,000 wheels.
The previous best was 196,261 wheels during 2008-09 without annual maintenance. Its Axle Shop achieved an yearly production target of 100,000 axles — surpassing the previous best of 88,481 axles with annual maintenance shutdown in 2010-11.
The assembly shop pressed 70,000 wheel sets while the previous best was 64,673 in 2008-09 without annual maintenance of 21 days.
