Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), has appointed Arun Kumar Gupta as a director on its board.
Gupta, who has over 34-years of experience in the shipping industry will be heading the technical and offshore services division of SCI, a press release issued here stated.
After graduating from the Marine Engineering College, Kolkata, he joined SCI and has worked in all segments of shipping, including safety and quality, the release said.
His assignments included working with Irano Hind Shipping Co, Tehran, as director, administration.
Gupta is actively associated with professional bodies like the Institute of Marine Engineers and Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping, among others.
