Singareni offered equity in Ramagundam fertiliser project

Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Thursday said it has been given an offer to join as one of the equity partners to the Ramagundam fertiliser plant, which was proposed to be revived at an investment of Rs 5,000 crore. National Fertilisers Limited (NFL) and Engineers India Limited, the two main partners in the project, have decided to invest 26 per cent equity each while the Food Corporation of India (FCI) was willing to take an 11 per cent equity in the project. As part of their search for more partners for the remaining 27 per cent equity, the representatives of NFL and Engineers India have SCCL chairman and managing director N Sridhar on Thursday.
