The company today launched its premium 150cc bike Gixxer priced at Rs 72,199 (ex-showroom Delhi) targeting the youth segment. Gixxer will mainly compete with Yamaha FZ, TVS Apache and Bajaj Pulsar. The company aims to sell around 50,000 units of Gixxer over the next six months. Suzuki aims to have 10% share in the 150 cc premium motorcycle segment in India, where around 70,000 units are sold every month.
