IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has appointed Phiroz Vandrevala as the Managing Director and Vice Chairman of its UK subsidiary, Diligenta.
Vandrevala, Executive Director of the company, will take over as the Managing Director (MD) and Vice-Chairman (VC) of Diligenta with immediate effect, TCS said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Pursuant to this move, Vandrevala would cease to be the Executive Director of TCS.
However, the board of directors has appointed Vandrevala as an Additional Director of the TCS in non-independent and non-executive capacity with immediate effect, it added.
Diligenta was established in 2005 to specialise in the provision of business process outsourcing (BPO) services for the UK Life and Pensions industry.
Diligenta entered the UK Life and Pensions marketplace in 2006 by securing a 486 million pounds deal with the Phoenix Group (formerly known as the Pearl Group), making it the second largest firm in the UK to service this sector.
