IT services company, Tech Mahindra Ltd today rolled out Saral Rozgar cards in Odisha to connect the "blue collared job seekers" and the "job providers" with about 8,000 job openings.

Saral Rozgar is a mobile job marketplace that helps blue collared and entry level job seekers to connect with mainstream employers across the country via mobile in their own language.

"Presently, there are about 8,000 job openings in the state across 50 large categories. The opening is likely to go up to 15,000 by the end of this financial year," Mayuk Dasgupta, Head-Saral Rozgar told media persons at the launching of the Saral Rozgar cards here.

These job categories include entry level and blue collared jobs like security guard, housekeeping, stewards, cooks, data entry, helper, domestic call centre executives, automobile mechanics, factory and site supervisors, courier boys, plumber, electrician, fitter, welder among the others.

Job seekers can access the service by buying the Saral Rozgar card for Rs 50 and get a profile created through a voice call in their preferred language including Odiya. The services are available both on voice and web platforms for the job seekers and providers. The validity of the service is for 60 days.

Saral Rozgar cards are available across more than 5,000 telecom recharge and FMCG kirana outlets in major cities like Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Angul, Behrampur, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Jajpur.
