Carmaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today reported its highest-ever monthly sales in March at 9,726 units, registering a 40.73% jump over the same month last year.
The company had sold 6,911 units in the corresponding month last year, TKM said in a statement.
TKM, a joint venture between the world's largest carmaker Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, attributed the growth to healthy sales of its latest sedan Etios.
"We have sold 9,726 units last month, our highest ever sales. We would like to thank all our customers for their response," TKM Deputy Managing Director (Marketing) Sandeep Singh said.
The company has sold 3,257 units in March 2011. It has received 29,796 booking orders so far since its launch last year.
