United Tectsa- a subsidiary of Nashik-based Anil Printers Ltd has developed RFID (Redio Frequency Identification)solutions to avoid malpractices like duplication and tampering in original mark-sheets and passing certificates (PCs) for universities, education boards, schools and colleges.
“Now, schools and colleges need not worry about malpractices like duplication and tampering in original mark-sheets and passing certificates. We have developed RFID solutions to overcome this problem,” Abhishekh Nikam, Solution Advisor, Anil Printers Ltd, told Business Standard.
“RFID technology helps to authenticate each and every original document and helps for getting it verified directly at user’s end with the help of a USB reader and software designed for this purpose. This is entirely locked at triple level by universities to avoid modification in the soft data inside RFID chip embedded inside the original document,” Nikam said.
Explaining how it works, Nikam said, “RFID tag is placed and positioned inside the mark-sheet and passing certificate containing an UID which makes it unique for every student. Original marks and other complete details are embedded on the chip with the help of a reader. The Smart Mark-sheets/Certificate has the read range of 7cm to 10cm.”
“Student details along with original marks are stored in database with reference to that UID. Data may be name, date of birth, school name, marks etc. Variable data may contain no. of exams etc. At the time of preparation of the mark sheets all data are embedded on the chip and locked. Since the information embedded on the chip cannot be tampered or deleted and any attempt of tempering in the printed information can be detected easily by comparison,” he said.
Anil Printers has three manufacturing facilities in and around Nashik (including one of United Tectsa).
Anil Printers, which is an RBI approved printer and among the top security printers in the country, manufactures prepaid scratch cards, pin mailers, airline tickets, cargo bills, cheque-books, carbon-less stationery for the elecommunications, banking, courier and logistic industries, Internet Pre-paid Cards and Cellular Pre-paid Cards.
