Media and Entertainment Group UTV Software Communications today said its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009, slipped by 40.16% to Rs 11.22 crore.
The company had a net profit of Rs 18.75 crore in the same quarter ended March 31, 2008, UTV Software Communications said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total revenues of the company rose to Rs 208.68 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 194.14 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, 2009, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 85.63 crore against Rs 57.65 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, up 48.53%.
In a separate filing on the BSE, the board of directors of the company has approved raising Rs 75 crore through the issue of non-convertible debentures on private placement basis to LIC Mutual Fund Assets Management Company.
Shares of UTV Software Communications were trading at Rs 318.40, down 2.99% on the BSE.
