Auto-maker VE Commercial Vehicles today said it recorded a 29.24% jump in its total monthly sales at 3,916 units in February.
The joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors had sold 3,030 units in the same month previous year, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) said in a statement.
Domestic sales in February last year increased to 3,663 units from 3,007 units in the same month a year ago, a jump of 21.82%, the company added.
Exports for the month also soared by 11-fold to 253 units from 23 units in February 2010.
Sales of light commercial vehicles in the Indian market went up by 5.48% to 2,655 units during the month as against 2,517 units in February 2010.
Heavy commercial vehicle sales recorded an over two-fold jump to 628 units in last month from 267 units in the year-ago period last year, it added.
