Tata group company Voltas today said its profit after tax (PAT) rose by 18 per cent to Rs 93 crore in the April-June quarter compared to Rs 79 crore in the same period last year.

Its income from operations rose 13 per cent to Rs 1,410 crore in Q1 FY11 against Rs 1,248 crore in the year-ago period, a press release issued here stated.

The company's electro-mechanical projects and services segment's revenue was lower at Rs 693 crore against Rs 700 crore in the year-ago period, due to slower project implementation by some clients, the release said.

The segment's order-book stands at Rs 5,006-crore as against Rs 4,653-crore at the end of the last financial year.

The revenue of the engineering products and services segment increased by 6 per cent to Rs 120-crore while that of its unitary cooling products for comfort and commercial use rose 41 per cent to Rs 587-crore.
