Due to incessant rain since Tuesday night, entire Dharmanagar town and its periphery were waterlogged and 4000 people took shelter in five relief camps, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Pradip Acharya told reporters.
He said 10 boats were pressed into service to rescue the people in the affected areas and added that the water had started receding.
