 "6 died in bus-mini truck collision in Bankura")
Six persons including a five-year-old child died and 20 others injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a mini truck on the Sonamukhi-Beliatore road near Badarkoda village under Beliatore Police station this morning, police said.
The driver of the bus, travelling from Sonamukhi to Durgapur, and five persons including the child died on the spot while 20 other passengers were badly injured in a collision with a mini truck, Bankura SP Mukesh Kumar said.
A search for the truck, which fled away soon after the mishap, has been initiated, he added.
Among those injured few were admitted to the Bankura Medical College while others were taken to the Bishnupur Sadar Hospital, the SP said.
