Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey on Wednesday sought cooperation of all political parties in smooth and orderly conduct of the winter session of the House beginning November 23.
The Speaker, who convened an all-party meeting here, said the proceedings of the last session were held smoothly and hoped similar cooperation by all parties this time too would help in raising issues concerning people in the House.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, on behalf of the ruling party, assured all assistance in smooth conduct of the House.
Seeking cooperation of all political parties, he said his government had taken prompt decisions on problems raised in the House last time.
Swami Prasad Maurya (BSP), Hukum Singh (BJP), Pradeep Mathur (Cong), Dalbir Singh (RLD) and Dr Ayub (Peace Party) on behalf of their parties promised full support to the Speaker.
