The Indian Music Industry for long has been claiming that it feeds the other industries in the sense that the music owned by its member recording companies is exploited by others for commercial gains who share very little or nothing from the profits made by them. 

This list, they claim, ranges from the humble brass bands to performances in hotels and pubs to mega music shows and big corporations who own TV and radio programmes. Deloitte’s Economic impact of the recorded music industry in India 2019 looks to quantify some of these perceived missed opportunities.
