Around 2.25 lakh consumers of private discom BSES availed its scheme on timely payment of electricity bills, receiving a total of Rs 1 crore as cash back.
The consumers received up to Rs 200 cash back on timely payment of their electricity bills between February 1 and March 31. The total value of the cash back given to consumers is around Rs 1 crore, a spokesperson of the company said.
The beneficiaries paid their bills before the due date of March 31 through the discom's website and various other online payment apps, he said.
Consumers can make payments through various options, including debit card, credit card, net banking, e-wallets and Unified Payments Interface, the spokesman added.
